A train carrying Morristown High students to the championship hockey game Monday at the Prudential Center in Newark was stopped for about 40 minutes because of rowdy behavior.

The train was stopped in Maplewood, where at least two people were removed by police from Maplewood and NJ Transit, said Jennifer Nelson of NJ Transit.

There were no arrests, she said.

At least 300 teens were on board, Nelson said.

MHS defeated Randolph 2-0, to win the Public A crown, its second title in three seasons.

  1. This article is inaccurate. MHS students only made up half of the passengers on this train. The other half were Randolph HS students. This makes MHS look bad to report as you have. Please fact check and correct.
