Christie left his Speedwell Avenue campaign headquarters around 6 pm, blowing past reporters who had not been allowed inside.

“Not tonight, guys,” the Governor said in response to shouted questions. He disappeared into a van that promptly drove off.

Christie finished sixth in Tuesday’s New Hampshire primary.

His Facebook statement said:

“I ran for president to say that the government needs to once again work for the people, not the people work for the government…I leave the race without an ounce of regret. I’m so proud of the campaign we ran, the people that ran it with me and all those who gave us their support and confidence along the way.”
