Headquarters Plaza is opening its garage for free to Morristown residents this weekend, Jan. 30-31, 2016, so the town can proceed more swiftly with snow removal from streets.

That’s the word on Thursday from Mayor Tim Dougherty’s office.

Residents also can park free this weekend in the Morristown Parking Authority’s Dalton(Cattano Avenue), Ann/BankĀ  and DeHart garages.

In all cases, vehicles must exit by 6 pm on Sunday, Jan. 31, or drivers may be charged parking fees. Drivers licenses will serve as proof of residency.

  1. This is a great gesture for the parking. They need to clarify whether or not those with a “Morristown” mailing address can park there for free or not. I don’t believe it’s interned for those who live in the township with a Morristown address. People always try to get over and ruin a nice thing.
