A homeless 23-year-old man found dead in Morristown in November died of hypothermia, the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office said on Friday.

Oscar Alberto Romero‘s body was discovered in an alley behind the Sushi Lounge restaurant on the morning of Nov. 17, 2015.  His death was ruled an accident, the result of exposure to the cold, according to an autopsy by Dr. Ronald V. Suarez of the Morris County Medical Examiner’s Office.

Romero was from Honduras, with no recent “consistent residence,” according to statements from the office of Prosecutor Fredric Knapp.

The prosecutor’s major crimes unit and Morristown police investigated.

“No criminal charges are anticipated in this matter,” Knapp’s office said, releasing no further details.

  1. It says to me that Morristown is the kind of place where a homeless 23-year old feels he has no place to go to for shelter.
