For the last eight years, we’ve enjoyed covering every act of Morristown’s Got Talent! , the fundraising spectacular run by the Morris Educational Foundation.
The 2016 show has a new name, Morristown ONSTAGE! … and your correspondent is going to have a new view:
Onstage!
We’re still pinching ourselves, wondering if we dreamed this up. Yet not in our wildest dreams could Lisa Martin, Beth Bachmann, David Codey and yours truly — pals from the monthly Morristown Uke Jam — ever have imagined going from Wednesdays at Anthony’s Pizza to a Wednesday at the Mayo Performing Arts Center before 1,300 people!
Nearly 60 acts auditioned on Saturday. Somehow, we tamed our butterflies. The Uke-A-Likes made the cut with an original number that we hope you will enjoy.
So mark Feb. 24, 2016, on your calendar. And check back here often in the meantime! We’ll keep you up to date on all the show news, and give you a glimpse of what it’s like to face the music from the other side of the camera.
And congratulations to our 15 fellow finalists. We know you’re as thrilled as we are!

Thanks, Mike!
I like the costumes. Go for it, gang, and all the best.
I was going to go to Cuba, but now I’ll have to stick around town to watch the Uke-A-Likes perform at the Mayo….
Such a spicy and talented bunch!
