The event is presented by the Morris Educational Foundation  and the Alumni Association of Morristown High School. Go here for bios of everyone.  And read on for more details.

On Tuesday, December 1 the Morris Educational Foundation and the Alumni Association of Morristown High School will host the 2nd annual Colonial Alumni Mentoring Program Night.

C.A.M.P. Night will feature thirty of MHS’s most inspiring alumni. We encourage all high school students (parents are welcome too!) to attend this great night for exploring careers, starting conversations and networking with MHS graduates who have found success. This is not your typical career night. This event offers dynamic discussion among students and alumni mentors.

The evening starts at 7 PM with a keynote from Allyson Hobbs, class of ’93, an assistant professor in the Department of History at Stanford University and author of A Chosen Exile: A History of Racial Passing in American Life, published by Harvard University Press in October 2014.

Then, choose up to three forums from 14 different career tracks, and link up with successful alumni in those fields and other like-minded students. Use the time to hear their stories, get ideas for your future, and connect with mentors who can help you navigate next steps. Wrap up the evening with an event-wide reception where you can continue the dialog and make plans for staying connected.

We encourage you to RSVP, but it’s not required. If you do RSVP, you can indicate which career forums you’re interested in attending and also submit questions for alumni to answer during the event. RSVP Now »

  1. I presented at this event last year — what a wonderful event, not only for the students, but also for the panelists. It is an honor to be able to give back to such a wonderful school. Thank you to Chief McGuinness for participating this year (and to all of the other speakers).
