MORRIS COUNTY CLERK ANN GROSSI ANNOUNCES MORE THAN 200 COUNTY BUSINESSES HAVE SIGNED UP FOR “OPERATION GIVEBACK’’ DISCOUNTS

MILITARY VETERANS WITH COUNTY I.D. CARDS WILL BENEFIT FROM RETAIL AND SERVICES DISCOUNTS

In connection with the upcoming Veterans’ Day observance next week, County Clerk Ann Grossi is announcing that more than 200 Morris County businesses in 23 towns have signed up to participate in her office’s countywide Operation Giveback retail and services discount program for military veterans who live in Morris County.

Grossi made the announcement this morning at a special breakfast at her office in Morristown with veterans and participating retail and service providers, who were thanked for their military service and Operation Giveback participation.

“It is fitting, as we approach Veterans’ Day that we give back to the men and women who have given so much to us and our beloved nation,’’ she added.

Operation Giveback participants will provide a percentage off on products offered or services rendered as a way to say thank you to those who have served so selflessly. The names of participants will be published in a booklet to be distributed by the County Clerk’s Office and can be found on line.

The sign up effort for participants was aided by a “boots on the ground’’ effort by employees of the County’s Clerk’s Office and other volunteers who pitched the program to businesses in communities and neighborhoods across the county.

There is a wide range of discounts being offered, from savings on furniture, swimming pool supplies, pet needs, footwear, eye glasses, sporting goods, and pharmaceuticals, to money off legal services, real estate fees, towing, landscaping, pest control, massage therapy, among many others. There also are many participating restaurants.
