Legal advice can make a world of difference in your life–if you can afford it.

If you can’t, now you have help:  The Morris County Bar Foundation is offering a free legal clinic at the Morristown Neighborhood House, from 9 am to 1 pm on Saturday, Oct. 24, 2015.

More than a dozen lawyers will be available for half-hour sessions on tenant/landlord issues, immigration law, family matters, and more, Bangiola said.  Some of the attorneys are bilingual, and translators also will be on hand, she said.

This program proved popular in Dover over the last couple of years, and if Saturday’s clinic stirs enough interest, it will be repeated in Morristown, Bangiola said.

The Morris County Organization for Hispanic Affairs and the Zufall Health Center are co-sponsors, along with the Neighborhood House and the Bar Foundation.

Participating lawyers enjoy helping out, added Bangiola, who is an attorney.

“They realize they are very fortunate, and have been given many gifts, and they want to give back,” she said.

They also see themselves as ambassadors for their profession, and for our way of life.

“It is the rule of law that keeps individuals safe and secure,” Bangiola said. “This is a way to touch lives and remind people of the order that this can bring to their lives.”

The Neighborhood House is at 12 Flagler St.
