The Citizens for Better Planning in Morris Township is urging residents to attend the planning board meeting tonight, Oct, 5, 2015, for what may be the public’s last chance to comment before construction of an office/residential complex starts on the 147-acre Honeywell tract on Columbia Turnpike.

Developer K. Hovnanian seeks several variances, including increased building heights and additional units per structure. The meeting starts at 7:30 pm in the Municipal Building at 50 Woodland Ave. Here are more details:

  1. Let’s hope this doesn’t devolve into a politically-motivated filibuster led by the “not in my back yard” people, as such hearings have in the past. It’s time to get on with this, so the overall community can reap the tax benefits of this plan.
