Morris Township committee candidates will speak their minds on Tuesday. Oct. 6, 2015, at 7:30 pm in the Alexander Hamilton School in Morristown.

League of Women Voters logoOn Thursday, Oct. 15,  it’s the Morristown council candidates’ turn. Same time, same place.  Both forums are hosted by the League.

In the Township, Democrats Jeff Grayzel and Cathy Wilson will try to crack the all-GOP committee by unseating incumbents Bruce Sisler and Matheu Nunn.

Grayzel is a former two-term committeeman. Nunn was appointed earlier this year to fill the unexpired term of Scott Rosenbush, who moved to Utah.

In Morristown, Republicans are seeking to make inroads against Democratic control.

In the First Ward, where Council President Rebecca Feldman, an Independent, is stepping down, Republican Robert Iannaccone is challenging Democrat Chris Russo.  Feldman is backing Iannaccone.

In the Second Ward, where Democratic incumbent Raline Smith-Reid is stepping down, Pastor Sidney Williams Jr. is running for the Republicans against Democrat Hiliari Davis Oyesanya.

Democratic incumbent Stefan Armington is unopposed in the Third Ward.

The Fourth Ward pits the council’s lone Republican, Alison Deeb, against Democratic challenger Justin Davis.
