Everyone experiences it. But many people can’t talk about it.

We’re talking about grief.

Three authors formed The International Grief Council  to come to grips with grief, and they will share their insights at a free presentation at Villa Walsh Academy in Morris Township on Sept. 30, 2015.

Lo Anne Mayer,  Uma Girish and Daniela I. Norris  will speak from 1 pm to 3 pm.

Mayer, author of Celestial Conversations, Healing Relationships After Death, is a mother of six who has studied various healing practices for 36 years.

The New Jersey woman began keeping a journal after her mother died. Their relationship had been troubled; Mayer believes her mother spoke to her through the journal, healing their rift and giving comfort when her daughter Cyndi died unexpectedly.  Angels at Work was Mayer’s TV show.

Girish, a native of India, also was profoundly affected by the death of her mother. She has published Losing Amma, Finding Home: A Memoir About Love, Loss and Life’s Detours and Understanding Death: 10 Ways to Inner Peace for the Grieving.  Her podcast is called The Grammar of Grief, and her stated mission is to help women derive meaning and joy from the pain of their losses.

Daniela I. Norris is a former diplomat who became a “regression therapist” after her 20-year-old brother drowned in 2010.  She continued to feel his presence, and began to study the phenomenon. Norris, who lives in Switzerland, has published On Dragonfly Wings: A skeptic’s journey to mediumship and Collecting Feathers: Tales from The Other
Side.

Although their talk is free, registration is required.  Register here or call 732-323-0023.  Villa Walsh is at 455 Western Ave.
