For generations, the Morristown Green has provided refuge from the downtown hustle and bustle.

Grow It Green Morristown will try to scale down that concept on Friday, Sept. 19, 2015, by creating a park in a parking space.

Or a parklet, anyway.

It’s part of PARK(ing) Day, a national movement to create temporary public spaces. Grow It Green will return to the same location as last year, at the corner of DeHart and South streets, from noon to 6 pm.

There will be hay bales, picnic benches and tables, and a guy in a carrot costume to update you on expansion plans for the Early Street Community Garden.

You can park yourself in this space all afternoon without fear of tickets or tow-trucks. Just take your hay fever tablets!
