Man charged with bringing handguns, hollow-point ammo to Morristown office building

A Peapack man “acting suspiciously” was arrested in Morristown’s Headquarters Plaza building on Wednesday morning and was found to be carrying a pair of handguns and hollow-point bullets, the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office said on Thursday.

Andrew Pfitzenmayer, 26, was arrested by Morristown police at 10 am, at 19 Speedwell Ave. He is charged with unlawful possession of two Glock 9 millimeter handguns and prohibited ammunition.

The suspect was lodged in the Morris County Jail in lieu of $100,000 bail by Municipal Judge Gary Troxell.

The Morris County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Section assisted the prosecutor’s office and Morristown police with the investigation.

No further details were released by authorities.

Citing criminal complaints, the Daily Record reported that Pfitzenmayer allegedly possessed a pair of magazines with 20 rounds of ammunition between them.

Pfitzenmayer is CEO of St. Leger Concierge, and a member of the Far Hills-Bedminster fire department, according to his social media pages.
