Dancing in the street…or at least, in the parking lot, at Ginty concert

The heat did not inhibit intrepid dancers, from both the junior and senior divisions, at Ginty Field on Tuesday night.

As the Family Tradition Band blasted hits from multiple eras from the gazebo, audience members rose from their lawn chairs and blankets to shake what God gave them.

And they will have a few more shakes before the summer’s over in Morris Township:

• The Heart of Gold Band, classic rock, Tuesday, Aug. 4, at 7 pm
• The Kootz Band,  rock, oldies, Sunday, Aug. 9, at 6 pm
• Novo Rodeo, country, swing, pop rock, Sunday, Aug. 30, 3 pm at Streeter Pool, free admission after 2:30 pm
• The Due South Band, Saturday, Sept. 12, at 3 pm at Ginty Pool ($6 admission, for the pool closing).

There are more outdoor films as well:

• Guardians of the Galaxy (PG13), Saturday, Aug. 22, for Family Campout in the Park night
• The Boxtrolls (PG), Saturday, Oct. 24, for Halloween Bonfire Night
