Morris Township’s environmental commission has a busy agenda for its reorganization on July 9, 2015.

Redevelopment plans for the Honeywell tract have been forwarded from the planning board to see if they pass muster, environmentally.

Commissioners are scheduled to review plans by the Rockefeller Group Development Corp. to demolish one building, erect another office building, and construct 235 housing units. Parking and other improvements for the 147-acre tract on Columbia Road also are on the docket.

Monitoring wells are on the site because of prior contamination concerns.

Additionally, the Morristown Beard School seeks permission to construct a two-story building.

The meeting is set for 7 pm in the Municipal Building, at 50 Woodland Ave.

Honeywell is moving its world headquarters from the Township to Morris Plains.
