Would you like to expand your knowledge of the Bible?

St. Peter’s Episcopal Church in Morristown is fortunate to have the retired Anglican Archbishop of Perth, Peter Carnley, here to lead a series of talks and discussions on Mark’s Gospel over a five-week period beginning in the last week of May.

To accommodate schedules of attendees, duplicate sessions have been arranged: Wednesdays at 7 pm beginning May 27, 2015, and Thursdays at 2 pm starting May 28.

To maximize your experience, Archbishop Carnley recommends reading the Gospel of Mark beforehand.  The meetings will take place in the Parish Hall at 70 Maple Ave.

Archbishop Carnley was Archbishop of Perth, in Western Australia, and is the former Primate of Australia.  In addition to a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Melbourne and a doctorate in systematic theology from Cambridge University, he received a Lambeth DD in 2012.

Significantly, he overcame a legal challenge and was able to ordain the first women priests in Australia.  He also was a founding member of the Anglican-Roman Catholic International Mission (IARCCUM).  He and his wife Ann have two children who are married and living in Australia.
