Tickets now are on sale for the eighth annual Morristown’s Got Talent show, scheduled for Feb 25, 2015, at the Mayo Performing Arts Center.

Sixteen acts of all ages from Greater Morristown will compete for $2,500 in prize money, and the audience will vote for its favorite at the competition. Read about the finalists here.

Tickets range from $25 to $75, and are available at the Mayo box office, online or by calling 973-539-8008.

Last year’s show raised more than $70,000 for programs of the Morris Educational Foundation.

Talent show at Mayo Performing Arts Center on February 25 will spotlight the best amateur talent form Morristown, Morris Plains and Morris Township.

Morristown, New Jersey, January 10, 2015 – The Morris Educational Foundation announced that tickets will go on sale on February 2, 2015 for its eighth annual “Morristown’s Got Talent – Powered by You!’ show. The talent show will showcase the best amateur talent from Morristown, Morris Plains and Morris Township. The event will be held on February 25th, 2015, 7 pm at the Mayo Performing Arts Center in Morristown, New Jersey. Over seventy acts auditioned for the show.

Four distinguished arts and entertainment professionals will judge the competition. New this year there will be a $1,000 cash prize for 1st place for contestants ages 19 and over, $1,000 cash prize for 1st place for contestants ages 18 and under, and a $500 award for the “Audience Choice” Winner which will be voted on that night at the show. The MEF is invited the community to determine the details of this year’s show through its new “powered by you” theme. #MGT on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram to participate. It will all culminate with the audience live vote at the show for the 2015 Audience Choice Winner.

This year’s Master of Ceremonies and host of the show will be Morristown-resident Tara Bernie, Emmy- nominated senior producer for NBC’s Access Hollywood and Access Hollywood LIVE.

Atlantic Health System’s Morristown Medical Center is the event’s lead sponsor.
