Those colored lights that descended on Morristown on Saturday night?

No, they were not the vanguard of a Martian invasion seeking revenge for that War of the Worlds debacle a few decades ago.

They were beacons of hope. Hundreds of walkers came to Headquarters Plaza for the Light the Night Walk, which raised more than $427,000 for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.

That topped the event’s $400,000 target.

Our thanks to Geoff Gogan, Nick Picerni, Lee Goldberg and members of the Robert Half Technology team for these photos!
