A community forum will solicit public suggestions on Tuesday, Oct. 22, 2014, at 7 pm at Morristown High School.

Charlene Peterson, a consultant for the New Jersey School Boards Association, which is conducting this search, will moderate the forum to seek public comments about “the experience, characteristics, and leadership style” of the perfect superintendent, according to the district.

Thomas Ficarra retired this month after 12 years in the job.  Catherine Mozak,  former interim superintendent in Denville, has been hired to replace Ficarra during the search for a permanent successor.

The Morris District serves approximately 5,000 students from Morristown, Morris Township and Morris Plains.
