“We’re here to inspire good vibrations. And we’re going to send them around the world today,” drummer Winard Harper said from the stage of the Morristown Green on Saturday afternoon.

The fourth annual Morristown Jazz & Blues Festival got off to a great start with the Brazilian ensemble Trio da Paz.  Bucky Pizzarelli and his Guitar Summit were a big hit for the second straight year, and then Harper’s Jeli Posse ramped up the energy level a notch.

As we write this, Mikey Junior is taking the stage, with guitar wizard Matt Schofield to follow at 8 pm.  If you’re in the vicinity of the Green, come on over. Admission is free, and the weather could not be better.
