Community worship on the Green, July 6

0

On four Sundays this summer, The Presbyterian Church in Morristown offers Community Worship on the Green, shared with the Morristown United Methodist Church in Morristown and other churches in Morristown.

We invite the Morristown community to be a part of this unique outdoor worship experience. Bring a lawn chair or blanket, lean against a tree, let your children play – relax and enjoy this casual service (some chairs and benches are available).

July 6: “Finding a Place to Sit” with jazz saxophonist Matthew Willis, led by PCM pastor Dave Smazik,  at 10 a.m. (see video from Willis’ appearance at a previous PCM service:)

August 17: A celebration of children and youth and Vacation Bible School – “Good and Pleasant Living” led by PCM pastor Dave Smazik

Did you know that the property of the Morristown Green was owned by the Presbyterian Church for 130 years until it was deeded to the town specifically for use as a park in 1868? Find out more the 280-year history of PCM, its historic graveyard and the Morristown Green.  Take a free tour of the church between 1 pm and 3 pm on Independence Day.
