The Presbyterian Church in Morristown is sending the Ringers on the Green on their annual handbell concert tour to Michigan this year. It will begin with a send-off concert at the Presbyterian Church in Morristown sanctuary on Sunday, June 22 at 4 pm.
The Ringers on the Green, directed by Matt Webb, is an ensemble of high school students representing the music ministry of the Presbyterian Church in Morristown, New Jersey. The choir rings six octaves of Schulmerich handbells and five octaves of Schulmerich handchimes.
In its 43-year history, the group has performed in 40 states, Canada, Bermuda, and Europe. The Ringers on the Green regularly lead into services of worship and perform for numerous New Jersey-based civic and religious organizations throughout the year.
For this year’s tour they are scheduled to play four concert in just two days. The Ringers have worked hard throughout the year to perfect the compositions they will perform on tour.
