Is Morristown Moving Forward?

The planning board is poised to adopt the document, dubbed Morristown Moving Forward, at 7 o’clock tonight, March 31, 2014.

A number of changes resulted from the last public hearing, earlier this month.

Here is a list of those tweaks.   The entire plan is here.

The state requires towns to revise their master plans every 10 years. Morristown has spent more than a year preparing this revision. Public comments have been sought online and at special meetings.

Once the planning board approves the master plan, the town council will start the lengthy process of crafting zoning ordinances to put the document’s objectives into practice.

Monday’s meeting is scheduled for the council chambers of town hall, at 200 South St.
