One of the highlights of last summer’s Morristown Jazz and Blues Festival was the pairing of four jazz guitar greats on one stage:  Bucky Pizzarelli, Frank Vignola, Vinny Raniolo and Gene Bertoncini.

They’re back on New Year’s Eve for an encore, in what is sure to be a highlight of First Night Morris County 2014.

“It sounds like an Italian law firm– Pizzarelli, Vignolo, Raniolo and Bertoncini,” Frank V. quipped to Dr. Lynn Siebert of Morris Arts, who takes a sneak peek with Denise Schmidt in this preview video, produced by students at the County College of Morris.

Another treat returning from the summer show is Ed Alstrom, organist for the New York Yankees, with harmonica wizard Rob Paparozzi, formerly of Blood, Sweat and Tears.

Pianist Rio Clemente, Morristown’s dynamic Bishop of Jazz, also is on board for First Night.  And the roster includes jazz kazoo (the Philadelphia Jug Band) and gypsy jazz from Dan Levinson (Boardwalk Empire).

You can hear them all–and many more performers– for $25. More than 200 musicians, dancers, actors and comedians are scheduled for more than 80 performances at 24 venues across Morristown.
