Just when you thought it was safe to come out of the igloo, here comes more snow.

Two- to four more inches are possible between 5 am and 3 pm on Dec. 17, 2013, according to the National Weather Service, which has issued a winter weather advisory.

While that’s bad news for commuters, it’s great for reindeer, and for cross country skiers. Ski conditions at Loantaka Brook Reservation in Morris Township have been cruddy–as in icy crud–since the weekend mix of snow and sleet.

A coating of fluffy snow should make for quieter skiing, at the very least.
