The division between life and death is the work of a single moment—of a last breath, of conception, of miscarriage—and of many moments—the length of an illness, nine months of pregnancy, a lifetime of hardship and joy. What tilts the balance one way or the other? Join our 9:15 a.m. Sunday Morning Seminar at the Parish House of The Presbyterian Church in Morristown, 65 South St. when the Reverend Sarah Green will share insight and perspective from her work with hospice and hospital chaplaincy.
Rev. Green grew up in The Presbyterian Church in Morristown and graduated from Morristown High School. She is a graduate of Davidson College and received her Master of Divinity from Claremont School of Theology in California. Sarah is currently working as a Hospice Chaplain with Valley Hospice in the New York Metro-politan Area, after serving as a chaplain at New York Presbyterian Hospital.
Join us for worship on Sunday at 9:15 and 11 a.m. in the our Sanctuary at 57 East Park Place. Reverend Dr. David Smazik will lead the service with a sermon entitled, “Recurring Questions“. Child care is available at Howard House, next door to the church. Church School for children ages 2 through 14 will be held at 9:15 a.m. in the Parish House at 65 South Street.
The Military Ministry is sponsoring a letter-writing campaign in support of our military personnel abroad. Tables will be set up in the Narthex of the Sanctuary. Stop by and write a note of appreciation and encouragement. Kids, too! Military personnel can also use items, such as toiletries, books and games, and nonperishable/non-melting snack foods. Bring your donations to bins at the church or the Parish House.
