Why does the success of Morristown High School athletics have to do with the success of Morristown?
Ever wonder why prep schools go after the top athletes — and not just the top academics? Because the preps understand that to thrive they must build an alumni support base with high earning professionals. When MHS loses a student to the preps, Morristown loses that potential support forever.
Q. Why are high school athletic programs important?
A. Because high school athletics builds successful business careers. From Forbes Magazine, “A survey of individuals at the level of Executive Vice President of 75 Fortune 500 companies showed that 95% of them played sports in high school.”
Q. Why is the ranking of Morristown High School important to the community?
A. Because high school rankings are directly related to property values. This quote from a professional investor: “Properties near schools with a rating of 4 or 5 stars were almost completely insulated from declining values since 2006…..therefore school districts have become much more important in my decision making.”
