No, this isn’t some sort of time warp. It’s not June. But it is primary day, for Senate hopefuls seeking to replace the late Sen. Frank Lautenberg (D-NJ).
The Democratic contenders are Cory Booker, Rush Holt, Frank Pallone and Sheila Oliver.
On the GOP side, it’s Steve Lonegan vs. Alieta Eck.
Winners will square off in another special election on Oct. 16, 2013.
