The Presbyterian Church in Morristown has been helping to rebuild the Jersey Shore since January of 2013.   We run regular Sandy Relief Work Trips to Union Beach, NJ,  for the rehabilitation of primary homes.  Our fantastic volunteers have cleaned up debris, put in new walls and floors, and planted beach grass.  Our next trip is on Thursday, July 18.  A typical work day runs approximately from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.  We meet at the PCM Parish House (65 South Street, Morristown) at 7:30 a.m. and carpool to Union Beach, arriving at the Union Beach Borough Building (650 Poole Ave, Union Beach) no later than 9 a.m. We will return to the Parish House at approximately 6 p.m.  Please check this page regularly to keep up on activity in Union Beach. To sign up for a trip, click here or call the Church office at 973-538-1776.

This Sunday, July 21, at 10 a.m., Community Worship will be held outside on the Morristown Green together with the Morristown United Methodist Church.  The service will be led by Reverend Dr. David Smazik with the sermon, “Worried about Worry.”  The service will include a Time for Young Christians.   There is some seating available on the Green, but feel free to bring a chair or blanket to ensure you have a comfortable seat for worship..  In case of inclement weather, the service will be held in the Sanctuary of the Methodist Church at 50 S. Park Place, Morristown.
