Where the bears are: Knollwood Road in Morristown

2

Who needs Animal Planet when bears are roaming the streets of Morristown?

This bruin visited Knollwood Road on Thursday.  Our thanks to Linda Carrington for sharing these photos.

Update: Morristown Police monitored the bear’s travels on Thursday–Police Chief Pete Demnitz spotted the animal on a Knollwood Road porch–and officers escorted children and faculty to their vehicles after school at the nearby Thomas Jefferson School. No students were allowed to walk home.

  1. Yes Marge it is! Last year there were 2 bear sightings on that site and this is just 2 blocks away. This was a major concern.

  2. Looks as though residents and even private schools should be careful about where they place their garbage cans. Isn’t this near Paula Court and the Peck School playing fields?
