On Sunday May 5 and 12 at 9:15 a.m. at the Parish House of The Presbyterian Church in Morristown (65 South Street),  Reverend Joanne Miller will lead a two part seminar on the topic, “It’s Not Just About What You Eat – It’s Also About What’s Eating You.”  Rev. Miller will use the book, Women, Food, and God,  by Geneen Roth, which offers insights and tools to help readers better understand their relationship with food, as a guide.  If you have trouble sticking to diets, eat too much or too little or are constantly thinking about what you will eat, or trying not to think about it at all, there may be emotional as well as spiritual reasons why this is so.   This two-week series will enable participants to understand what underlies their obsession with food, help them begin to think differently about food, and begin to develop a more healthy relationship with it.   Participants may choose to read the book prior to the class, but it is not a prerequisite.
Rev. Miller is a former Associate Pastor of PCM.   She is a Member Associate of The American Association of Pastoral Counselors and serves on the faculty of The Center for Psychoanalysis and Psychotherapy of NJ.  She is employed by Grace Counseling Center, where she works with children, adolescent girls and adults of all ages
