Have some poems you would love to share? Or maybe a story, à la The Moth radio show? Ever itch to try standup comedy, or improv?
Well, here comes your chance! Come to WordPlay III on May 7, 2013, at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church in Morristown.
Our first two WordPlay evenings were loads of fun, and we expect this year’s edition to be even better.
Sets can be up to five minutes long; material must be suitable for general audiences. The show starts at 7 pm and all ages are welcome!
If you would like to perform, please drop us a line describing your act, along with some biographical details about yourself and your contact info.
And if performing is not your thing, recruit a friend to do it–then come enjoy the show!
WordPlay III is part of the Spring Arts Festival that MorristownGreen.com is co-hosting with St. Peter’s from May 3-12.
Student artwork from around Morris County will be displayed all week. The Festival kicks off on May 3 with a jazz coffeehouse by the Peter Moffitt Medicine Show.
And on May 11, it’s a Children’s Day of Art, featuring workshops for kids ages 6-13 in drama, mural painting, music, poetry, pottery and eco-sculpture. The art day costs $25; registration details are here.
Last but not least, the Sixth Annual MorristownGreen.com Film Festival is just around the corner. Make a documentary video and send it to us by June 15 to be eligible for great prizes at the August show!
Kevin – I do have three very short poems to bring to WordPlay. . . . .but ask that if you include me, to please put me at the end of the evening, as I have a dinner I must attend. Thanks, Carol Lindskog
Sounds great I will attend.
