Ready. Aim. Vote.

Today is the fifth and final day of the Saris Bike Corral contest that has pitted Morristown against Concord, MA and Wheat Ridge, CO.

In the town known as the Military Capital of the American Revolution, Bike and Walk Morristown entered the fray and mounted a strong campaign for the Bike Corral prize.  George would be proud.

But wait, a truce has not yet been declared.  The battle continues.  There are more than twelve hours left for each of the final contestants to get out the vote!

So here is my last appeal (unless of course you bump into me around town).  Vote.  And share.  Now that was pretty straightforward.  No complicated maneuvers here.  But seriously, sit down at your computer.  Sign onto Facebook.  Click here to get to the contest page.  Like the Saris page.  Click Vote.  Click Share.  Ask your friends, family and colleagues to vote.  Maybe even reach a hand out to your enemies and ask them to vote too!

Let’s go ahead and secure a bike corral for all those freezing soldiers in Jockey Hollow.  Even though it’s more than 225 years later, I’m thinking they would’ve loved to ride from Jockey Hollow to Fort Nonsense instead of hoofing it on those horses.  Hmmm. Didn’t the Continental Army have to walk from Jockey Hollow to Morristown?

A 13-year resident of Morristown, Marcy can be found leading one of Bike and Walk Morristown’s weekly walks from the Vail Mansion on Tuesday mornings at 8, posting, commenting and sharing on Facebook about the many organizations she loves and supports, madly trying to use the abundance of produce she gets from the Community Supported Garden (CSG) at Genesis Farm and attempting to organize her home.  Some of those efforts are more successful than others!
