The Morristown Bethel AME Church congregation and choir join PCM for a Tenebrae Service, which commemorates the Last Supper of our Lord, with special anthems offered by the PCM Chancel Choir and the Bethel choir.  Communion is celebrated in small groups.

Good Friday
March 29 at Noon
The Chancel Choir presents Requiem by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, directed by Matthew Webb, with soloists and instrumentalists from the congregation and members of the New Jersey Symphony Orchestra.  Requiem was Mozart’s final composition and a work that was completed by Mozart’s student Franz Süssmayer.

Easter Sunday
March 31 at 9:15 a.m. and 11 a.m.
Celebrate the Resurrection in these identical services with a banner procession and all choral ensembles, the Ringers-on-the-Green, percussionists Paul Oster and Steve Hess and a brass quintet from the New Jersey Symphony.

St. Peter’s Episcopal Church, 70 Maple Ave., Morristown

Maundy Thursday, March 28 – Middle Eastern Dinner at 6 pmAll are welcome! There will be plenty of Middle-Eastern goodies (chopped salad, tabouleh, hummus, babaganoush, kibbi, grape leaves, olives, falafal, fruit, etc.). You can also walk the labyrinth that was created a few weeks ago!

Holy Communion at 7:30 pm.  Liturgy, foot washing, Holy Communion and stripping of the altar. The Night Watch in the Chapel begins immediately after the service — sign up in the Church or the Parish Hall.

Good Friday, March 29 – For Children and Adults. Stations of the Cross, at 10 am, offered and created for children of all traditions. Join us after in the Parish Hall as we bake Easter sweets — all are welcome.

At noon and 7:30 pm we will have the traditional Good Friday service from the Book of Common Prayer. The choir will sing at the evening service.

Holy Saturday — Easter Vigil at 8 p.m. (No 5:30 p.m. Eucharist.)

Easter Sunday — Holy Communion services at 8 a.m., 9 a.m., 11:15 a.m. “Unburying” of the Alleluia banner and an Easter egg hunt in the graveyard will be held for children after the 9 a.m. service.

We have our regular Sabbath Evening Service on Friday evening, March 29 at 7:30 pm. Our Passover Festival and Memorial Service will be on Monday morning, April 1, at 10 am. Everyone welcome.
