Authorities seek clues in Morris Plains bank robbery

Authorities are asking for information about a robber who ran off with $5,000 from a Morris Plains bank on Monday, Feb. 11, 2013.

prosecutor logoThe suspect, described only as a black male, hit the JP Morgan Chase Bank on Route 10 at 6 pm and fled on foot, according to the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office.

Anyone with information is asked to call Lt. Stephen Wilson of the Prosecutor’s Office at 973-285-6212, Det. Jason Kohn of the Morris Plains Police Department at 973-538-2284, or the Morris County Sheriff’s CrimeStoppers at 973-267-2255. All calls will be kept confidential, the Prosecutor’s Office said.
