Roof blows off Morris County Courthouse

1

At about 6:20 pm a huge gust lifted a chunk of roof from the Morris County Courthouse and deposited it with a crash onto Ann Street.

A small piece had come off earlier, and we were attempting to frame another camera angle. And then… wham!  It rose like a metallic dinosaur from a bad movie.

Fortunately, we we shooting from the safety of the Ann Street parking garage, a few yards away.  And authorities already had closed off the street to traffic, so nobody was in the path of the debris.

Stay indoors–it is really, really nasty outside.
