For some 86-year-olds, “rocking” involves a chair on the porch.
Not for Naomi Sunshine. She does her rocking in front of a microphone, accompanied by jazz guitarist Grover Kemble.
Here is video from Friday’s performance at the Minstrel in Morris Township. Naomi, who turns 87 next month, sang backups for Frank Sinatra, Mel Tormé and Billie Holiday in her youth.
It’s about time she took center stage!
