Here are a few weekend scenes fromĀ Coro Lirico, the Blaire Reinhard Band, and the annual rummage sale at the Morristown United Methodist Church.

Coro Lirico presented four fine soloists for the price of one in Madison on Saturday: The husband-and-wife team of Linda and Thomas Smargiassi; Laura Quinn and Jenny Huang, who also sings with Harmonium.

Coro Music Director Warren Helms celebrated American composers with a program called America the Beautiful: From Barber to Broadway, mixing favorites like Try to Remember and Maria with lesser-known compositions such as To Make Us Proud, Leonard Bernstein’s last Broadway score.

Later on Saturday, Blaire Reinhard said so long to Morristown’s Famished Frog for awhile, with one last high-decibel gig before her maternity break.

Oh, almost forgot: We left the church rummage sale with yet another pair of cross-country skis. At $2, they were a bargain at twice the price!
