Re-connect for Holy Week!

But in a brilliant flash, we have the opportunity to experience the full impact of the resurrection in its power and in the joy and hope it can restore.   May the arrival of Easter not seem quite the same for us this year!   -Rev. Dr. David Smazik

Join us at The Presbyterian Church in Morristown for our Holy Week services.  Holy Week begins with Palm Sunday on April 1.  The first service is at 9:15 a.m. in the Sanctuary of the Church on the Green, led by Rev. Dr.David Smazik.  The children parade with palms across Morristown and into the Sanctuary at the end of the service (about  10:00 a.m.).  There is a dedication of palms on the Morristown Green at 10:15 a.m., then a parade to Bethel AME Church (59 Spring Street, Morristown) for a joint service beginning at 10:45 a.m. with Rev. Sidney Williams.

A Maundy Thursday service will be held on April 5 in the Sanctuary.  It begins at 7:45 p.m. with a piano prelude by Charity Wicks.  At 8:00 p.m.  Rev. Dr. David Smazik leads a service of the Last Supper and Tenebrae with the Chancel Choir.

On Good Friday, April 6, there will be a service in the PCM Sanctuary, commencing at 11:30 a.m. with an organ prelude by Charity Wicks.  This is followed at noon by a joint Tenebrae Service of Darkness with the Morristown United Methodist Church, led by Revs. Cynthia Alloway (PCM) and Neill Tolboom (MUMC), featuring the Chancel Choir and guest instrumentalists.

Christ the Lord is risen to-day, Sons of men and angels say. Raise your joys and triumphs high;
Sing, ye heavens, and earth reply.
