Fortunately, he and his father, concert promoter Patrick Allocco Sr., lived to tell News 12 the tale of their 49-day detention in Angola.

The Morris Township men came home on Feb. 18 after a long dispute with Angolan promoters over the failure of the rapper Nas to show up for New Year’s concerts. The men credit a vigorous social media campaign with winning their freedom.

Our thanks to News 12 New Jersey for this video.
