Four persons were arrested and charged with drunk driving by Morristown police during a special enforcement program on Thursday night, police said.

“It was very productive,” said Capt. Steve Sarinelli, adding that a total of 13 summonses were issued.

Elaborate procedures must be followed to ensure that motorists’ constitutional rights are observed, Capt. Sarinelli explained.

Identities of those arrested were not available on Friday, as the paperwork still was being processed, the captain said. But the DWI defendants all are from Morristown or Morris Township, he said.
