The good news: Morristown High School’s new turf field has been repaired after damage caused by Tropical Storm Irene.

The bad news: The Colonials’ game this Saturday, Oct. 1, vs. Randolph will start late, at 2:30 p.m., because of SATs.  Why would anyone schedule tests in the middle of football season?  😉

Irene sent storm water surging under the field last month, causing some bumps in the year-old turf.  The situation forced the Colonials (2-1-0)  to play their opener against Seton Hall Prep on the road, in Madison.

The field was repaired under warranty, according to school officials.
