Grover Kemble was laid low by a virus last week. Right up to showtime Saturday on the Morristown Green, he was feeling shaky.
But you never would have guessed that from his live-wire performance, two hours of magic with the Jerry Vezza Quartet to headline the first Morristown Jazz & Blues Festival. They were joined for some hot harmonica licks by Rob Paparozzi, who has toured with Blood, Sweat & Tears and the Blues Brothers.
Here are some scenes from the set, and from the day. Kudos to Mayor Tim Dougherty, Don Smith and everyone else who pulled together this great day on the Green.
