‘Karate Kid’ closes Morris Township movie series on Aug. 20, after 5K run

The Morris Township parks and recreation department brings down the curtain on another summer movie series with The Karate Kid on Saturday, Aug. 20.

It’s free, at Ginty Field, and is sponsored by the township fire department, which is hosting its annual 5K run at 6 pm at the Woodland Fire House, next to Ginty Field.

Final Free Summer Family Movie Night in Morris Township

The Morris Township Department of Parks and Recreation will wind-up its free Family Outdoor Movie Night series with the showing of the The Karate Kid on Saturday, August 20, 2011. The movie will be shown at the Ginty Field, on Woodland Avenue in Convent Station. Movie time is at dusk, approximately 8:30 pm. This movie is rated PG.

Bring the whole family, your blankets, lawn chairs, and snacks to enjoy this free Big Screen outdoor movie. Arrive early for some fun and games with our summer staff at 7:30 pm, plus Summit Soundz will take your pre-show musical requests beginning at 7:30 pm.

This Family Movie Night is co-hosted by the Morris Township Fire Department and follows their

Annual 5K Run. The 5K Run begins at 6:00 pm at the Woodland Firehouse next to Ginty Field.
