Do you like to draw?
I do. That’s why on Aug. 5 I went to the Open Drawing Studio at St. Peter’s. Anyone can come.
We went into the building that the church owns that is next to the church. Then, we came into this dimly lit room with soft music in the background. People were all over the place on easels doing portraits of two people posed as if they’d been reading books.
I wasn’t really into the portraits. I was the only kid there and it was kind of boring. So I pulled out a piece of paper from the board game I was making, which I call Dragon Quest, sat down at a table and started drawing frost trees and ogres for the next area.
It was really fun. I got quite far in drawing, and I saw some people’s drawings that were exquisite. You sometimes thought that there were duplicates or doppelgangers in the room of the people posing.
So this was how I went to the Open Drawing Studio. You can come, too!
