Drawing studio off to good start in Morristown

That’s what 4-year-old Kurt Rehm of Chatham indicated on Wednesday, after creating a postmodern vision of flowers at the Open Drawing Studio at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church in Morristown.

Kurt pointed out the numeral 3, which he cleverly hid amongst his charcoal vines, almost subliminally. Like a true artist, he left the interpretation up to the viewer.

Artists Chris and Danielle Merzatta of Mendham are running the studio five days a week, through Aug. 28. All are welcome; suggested donations are $10 per session. They also are soliciting contributions at Kickstarter.com to underwrite the pop-up project.
