Who knew dancing could beat the heat?  Chalgiya led the way at the July 6 Music Without Borders concert, and spectators quickly got the message, availing themselves of air-cooling as they twirled to the beat of exotic Balkan tunes on the Morristown Green.

Chalgiya is Turkish for “orchestra,” and this one consists of Matt Moran on drums, Matthew Fass on accordion and Greg Squared on sax. The lunchtime show was presented by the Arts Council of the Morris Area and the Mayo Performing Arts Center, and catered by Chef Melody of the Main Event.

Next up in the Music Without Borders series: Music from China, on July 20.
