Mayor Dougherty and friends cut the ribbon at Qdoba in Morristown

Qdoba, the new Mexican restaurant at the Shops on the Green, 40 W. Park Place, officially opened today as Mayor Tim Dougherty, in the company of other local officials and businesspeople, cut a blue ribbon outside the building.

The grand opening celebrates the newest addition to downtown Morristown’s shopping and dining scene. At the Shops on the Green – 70,000 square feet of new retail space on the ground floor of the 40 Park luxury residential building – things have been hopping lately. An upscale New York-style steakhouse, Roots Steak House, opened in February and an urban-casual hamburger restaurant, Urban Table, opened late last month. Coffee retailer Starbucks recently signed a lease at the shops and will open for business this summer.

Qdoba is a fast-casual Mexican restaurant, with more than 500 locations worldwide.
