Snow forecast revised upwards, winter storm warning for Morristown area

The winter storm advisory is now a winter storm warning, and it’s in effect through 6 am Thursday, March 24.

Last night the National Weather Service was predicting 3 to 7 inches of snow and sleet; now northern New Jersey could be getting 4 to 8 inches, according to the latest forecast. The Morris School District delayed openings by 90 minutes this morning; with the heaviest snow expected over night, we’re betting that kids will be sleeping late tomorrow, too.
