John Scher has had many successes over the years, promoting concerts by Bruce Springsteen, The Rolling Stones, The Who, Frank Sinatra and numerous other top acts.

One gig he would rather forget, however, is Woodstock ’99. With prison-like fences, overflowing toilets, mud, fires, vandalism…and reports of gang rapes, this 30th anniversary event became a nightmare.

In episode two of our four-part interview, John talks about the flip side of the concert world: What happens when things turn ugly.

Have a question for John? You can dine with him at Great Conversations, a March 31 benefit for the
Arts Council of the Morris Area, at the Madison Hotel. Tickets are $175.
